Dearmouse

INTRODUCTION TO DEARMOUSE
Dearmouse are a common species existing throughout history. They adjust to any type of environment easily and thus are a very prosperous race that can be found in any occupation and age.
They all have their own personalities and come from various backgrounds.
All of them share a universal language known and heard to humans as French. It is the first learned language all dearmouse know in order to communicate, however it is normal for dearmouse to learn multiple languages.

PHYSICAL TRAITS
The inner ear is decorated with some sort of heart symbol. Ears vary in size and type. Some rare dearmouse do not have the symbol, so they will wear a heart accessory on their head, ears, or tail. In some societies, those without heart symbols are outcasted.
There are various rarer type of tails as well as mutations, however overwhelmingly 90% have heartend tails.
There are only two types of eyes, normal and slit. Nocturnal dearmouse have slit eyes.

MAGICAL SUBTYPE
Dearmouse that have magical powers usually have ‘mist’ surrounding their ear(s)/tail as clear indicators to others. It is impossible to hide the mist. There is currently no common consensus on whether magical dearmouse should be feared or respected.
The mist’s appearance indicates what types of abilities they have.
Mist means the dearmouse is capable of simple healing spells and levitation.
Dearmouse with flame-styled mist are able to use low level elemental spells.
Mist that forms objects are seen in dearmouse that are able to conjure and banish objects.

MUTATIONS
As an abundant and populous species, some dearmouse have mutations. This can be a result of their parents in which one is not a dearmouse and the other is, or a seemingly random mutation in their genetic code.

TRIVIA
Half of them are nocturnal. Nocturnal dearmouse are able to expand their pupils. They are more active later in the day.
Great sense of hearing and smell, so often good at cooking. (COOKING RATATOUILLE OOOOO)
They’re mainly herbivores. Grain and fruits are their preferred type of food.
Not capitalized like ‘human’, and both plural and singular is dearmouse.
